Who is behind the Lookout project?
The Lookout project is a joint venture between Richard Jackson of Plume Films and Russell Bryant of 8Bit. This partnership brings together decades of experience in high-end production and digital community building to create a dedicated home for the local creative industry.
Richard is a director and animator whose studio, Plume Films, is known for creating bespoke visual content for world-class organisations. With a portfolio that includes work for the Tate, Netflix, and the Unicef, Richard specialises in blending artisanal animation techniques with cinematic storytelling. His involvement ensures the Town Hall provides the professional infrastructure and creative standards required by top-tier visual communicators.
Russell Bryant & 8Bit
Through 8Bit, Russell has become a key figure in the mobile gaming scene. He brings a deep understanding of what a community-driven bottom up growth methodology can achieve with limited resources. His technical insight and focus on social connectivity will ensure that the hub becomes a modern, adaptable environment where digital creators can find both the tools and the network they need to thrive.Â
Together, we are transforming this historic Victorian space into a multidisciplinary hub. By combining our backgrounds in cinematic production and digital innovation, we aim to provide a professional sanctuary for creatives that celebrates both heritage and future-facing craft.
